This is the closest hot pot restaurant to our home in Richmond and thought this place was amaaaazing. It's kind of hidden from public view, just cause it's not right on the street. There's a parking garage right next to it! The restaurant itself is beautiful; perfect for a date. We got there a few minutes after it opened for dinner time and it was quiet empty, which was nice. There was only one server and she gave the best service. We ordered the thing that was served for two. It already had all the veggies in it and some meat. We were given an extra plate of meat as well. Spicy miso is the best ;)

I'm a sucker for shabu and my grub club work buddies and I wanted it on a cold December night. We ended up getting the all you can eat option, which meant we were all going to need a wheelbarrow to roll us out of there.
The servers were super nice and we practically had the whole place to ourselves, which was cool. Trays of meat, bowls of veggies were brought out and thus commenced our soup sesh with our yummy broths. My favorite is the sake miso but I also would be happy with the spicy miso kick.
We consumed plenty of beef/pork/chicken/lamb,l and I asked for tons of tofu, enoki mushrooms, spinach, and ramen. Just when I thought we couldn't eat any more, my coworker ordered 2 more beef trays and our server jokingly said we couldn't leave until he finished every last scrap, which he did and regretted after 20 min.
The meal was finished off with some refreshing green tea ice cream. Tip- wear clothes you don't mind smelling like food because you will definitely smell like a pot of shabu shabu when you're done! -

This is my favorite AYCE Shabu Shabu place around. It will run you $33/person for just the shabu shabu, and an additional $9/each if you want to include the unlimited small plates and sushi rolls. Just be aware that if you add on this "prime" offering, everyone at the table has to be included.
The only meat that I think I have ever had here is the lamb and the wagyu beef. Both are absolutely delicious if you're a fan of red meat. If not, there is also chicken and vegetables (mushrooms, spinach, tofu) available as well. Just be careful not to let any of it cook too long!
The karaage was not stellar on my most recent visit. But the baked seafood sushi roll was absolutely amazing, as were the vegetable gyoza, and the baked mussels.
Finally, the service here is really incredible. Everyone is extremely nice and attentive. If I had paid for this meal, I can safely say that I would have left MORE than the 18% tip that is included on the check. They definitely earned it.
My only complaint is that their liquor license lapsed, so they are unable to serve alcohol. I had to dock a star for that. After living in Japan, the drinking is just such an important part of the AYCE experience to me, and I was very bummed to discover that there would be no beer on this evening. -

I took my daughter here for her birthday. She had been here once before but was a bit apprehensive because she read some bad Yelp reviews. My experience was great.
We ordered the AYCE shabu shabu with the spicy miso broth. We considered ordering the set menu but the AYCE was a better deal especially if you want anything other than regular broth. Next time I'll order the ramen rather thanto eat with the broth at the end of the meal. We ordered lamb, beef, pork, and vegetables (good variety). Everything was very fresh and plentiful. We rolled out of the restaurant. We ordered a bit too much, at the end, but didn't want to waste food.
The service was spot on. The waitstaff made sure we had enough of everything. We went for an early dinner so it wasn't crowded. The restaurant is serving sushi again but we didn't order any. The table next to us did, and they seemed to enjoy it.
I plan to return with my husband
Feb 19 Returned tonight with my husband. Service was still excellent. Food was great. We tried the ramen at the end of our meal and it was so good - the broth made it. We got there at 6pm & there was a birthday party just starting. While we were eating the place filled up.
There's a new menu. If you get the all-you-can- eat shabu shabu (Happy Hour), you get 50% off of small plates & non-alcoholic beverages. Also the automatic 18% gratuity is gone so you may leave a tip as you see fit.
The menu indicates the all-you-can-eat Happy Hour dinner is from 5-7:30 but the server says they can make exceptions. -

The Spicy Miso was amazing!
The lady was very nice. All of the staff was fantastic, but this lady in particular was splendid. Go here! Seriously. I feel satisfied, full, and wish I could come back for more.
Also, ice cream, second ice cream, and Andes mints. Only a positive experience.
